These are a few pictures from last night's game. I have a love/hate relationship with our gym. I love it because I can sit right down next to the court, and I hate it because the lighting STINKS! I took over 100 pictures, and most were too soft to save. These were all shot in Tv mode, ISO 1600, first one was ss 1/400, f1.8, the next two were ss 1/250, f2.5. All were done with 50mm lens, wb set to fluorescent, cropped and sharped in PSE4. HHCC Please! Thanks for looking.

these are great captures. you really got the movement of the game. have you tried AV mode? i only use that for sports...seems to help a little.
Great action shots!
Cari
The action shots are great! There's no such things as a well-lit gym...at least in my experience!
I have awful experirences trying to get pictures at indoor events. You did aGREAT job though!!
Gyms are so hard to shoot in! I really struggle with basketball photos, too. I think you did a great job with these though!
Really nice shots!! I've had a hard time with indoor sports... They are tough! I think you did a wonderful job with them. TFS!
wow great action shots.
These are great despite the lighting problems. Nice captures.
not much help here, especially since i didn't do much better than you. i finally understand about the lighting, it really DOES stink at gyms. one thing i got from the MB @ 2peas was to leave the WB in auto and then change it later in PS (if shooting in RAW). to me, that's one less thing to worry about.
tfs!
