T-Ball to Varsity

Well, beat the drum and hold the phone - the sun came out today!
We're born again, there's new grass on the field.
A-roundin' third, and headed for home, it's a brown-eyed handsome man;
Anyone can understand the way I feel.

Put me in Coach, I'm ready to play today,
Look at me, I could be Centerfield.

Here's a few shots from this weekend's tournament. Ryan went 7 for 7 in the 3 games we played - great outing! One of my favorite quotes is "Baseball is a nervous breakdown divided into 9 innings" - So True for the the mother of a pitcher!!!

It's hard to believe that Ryan has been playing ball for 12 years!!!! He's played a variety of fall, spring and summer leagues - T-Ball, machine pitch, YMCA league, Little League.... Mike coached him for several years, but he's finally playing Varsity ball, I'm not sure if it's a bigger deal for him or his dad! :) Ryan's always loved the game, he could name the starting line up for the Texas Rangers when he was four years old!!!

Lots more baseball pics to come!!!!

Finally, baseball......

It's that time of year again! Here's a few shots from the tournament today in Alvord.

Team Photos

One of my favorite things to shoot is youth team photos! They are always lots of fun, and the kids are always great. It's usually pretty chaotic, trying to round up a bunch of 9 year old boys, or 10 year old girls, it will definitely get your blood pumping! Here's a sample of one of the most recent teams I photographed.

Cousins

At Christmas, we went to Sachse to visit Mike's sister Katie and her husband Rick. Their kids are Cody and Lindsey. Ryan and Lindsey are just 6 months apart in age. Becca and Ryan really enjoy visiting with them - and Ry and Cody aren't together very long before a wrestling match breaks out! They're all SUPER great kids, and have a lot of fun together!

Trying something new

I've been wanting to experiment and try out one of these multiple image photos. Becca was cooperative enough to help me out! It was a little late in the day and I was losing the light, so I'll have to go back when the light's better so it won't be so grainy. Let me know what you think!!! :)

**ETA** Some of you have asked about my process for this - I posted it at twopeasinabucket.com on the Photography Board. Thanks for looking!
