I'm a stalker...

... of other people's flowers! Sadly, I have no pretty flowers of my own. I'm a plant and flower murderer - I have a friend who comes over and feels sorry for my drooping ivy and waters it. So I never take flower pictures in my own yard; instead, I stalk others people's landscaping! Recently, I even went prowling through my mother's neighbors' yard and shot these cheerful tulips.

I know I'm a big weirdo...

.... but I'm totally in love with these skanky old motel signs on Scott Street! I love the way the rich color has faded, and is a reminder of yesterday. I love how retro they look. And I love this texture technique called TTV (Through The Viewfinder) that's applied in Photoshop to make the photo look like it's been taken through an old, dirty camera lens. I'm thinking about blowing these up pretty large and hanging them over my bed. Sleazy? Maybe a little, but that's how I roll.... ;-)

Wade Family

This is the second time I've shot this family, and they're lots of fun! They made the long drive to the big city of Henrietta for this, and they were sooo tempted to "Shop, Dine, and Stay Over" like the signs say! Lol!

A new look for some old pics...

I've been working on some portrait sessions, but just to have a brain break I played with a couple of old photos from the Butterfly Conservatory this weekend. I think I'm officially addicted to textures now! I like the butterfly pic so much, I printed it and framed it! :) Cheap art! Lol...

I'm a crazy cat lady...

We have a new kitten in our home! Yes, that makes 3, for those of you who are counting, plus JJ - the world's biggest chihuahua, plus Popcorn Chicken - the cockatiel who refuses to talk. So joining Little Cat (who's big) and Big Cat (who's little) we now have the Littlest Cat. We're really bad at naming cats.

We are now officially outnumbered by the pets.

And I'm pretty sure in that first pic, the Littlest Cat is either saying "why I oughta..." or giving me the finger. She'll fit right in.
