Lyndon Laseman Memorial Fun Run

In November, 2009, the Laseman family lost their husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother when they lost Lyndon, and the community lost a great citizen, the Bearcats lost their biggest supporter, and so many of us lost a good friend. But this amazing family knew the best way to honor Lyndon's memory would be through service to others, so the idea for the Lyndon Laseman Memorial Fun Run was born.

The Run began in the spring of 2010, and this past weekend was the third running. Participation was great, the weather was beautiful, everyone there had a wonderful time, and most importantly, funds were raised to benefit the Clay County Senior Citizens Center, the Edwards Public Library summer reading program, and the Clay County Junior Livestock Show.

This year I was privileged to take photos at the Run, Mike also volunteered, and Becca ran the 5K and finished 4th in her age group!!! I was so proud of her - yes, she's breaking away from the stigma of infamous Riggins Blazing Speed and can actually run....

After the Run was over, Mike and I were talking about how much Lyndon would love this event. It's so much fun, and nobody loved to have a good time more than Lyndon! Plan to attend next year - run, walk, volunteer, or just come out and enjoy it!
