What do you think of this?

I was going for spooky here, not sure if I made it. I thought the 2 little windows kind of looked like creepy eyes. This is a picture of an old "calaboose" on the outside of town. It's a little one-room building that in the past was used for many things, including a schoolhouse and a jail. I used Lady Ren's B&W Grain action, also one of her borders, and did lots of dodging and burning. I'm in the mood for some spooky stuff, since it's nearly Halloween! Let me know what you think!

I love the picture. I covered up the left side up to the big tree in the front and I think if you crop the left side of the picture up to and maybe even including just the edge of the tree it would make you focus more on the building. It looked spookier to me that way.

I REALLY like the image and the processing, though I don't get that "spooky" feel from it. I think the reason is that the background is so light, if it was a bit deeper it might help. I also wonder how it might look if it was cropped a bit tighter on the right, so that it cuts into the building on that side just a little bit with no background showing on that side?

You could also crop part of the grass at the bottom of the picture.

Oh funny, I was writing my reply just as "sister" was writing hers. Interesting how we both thought the exact opposite about the cropping. Now I'm curious to see them both!
