From a Senior Session

I've been MIA for a while, so even though this is totally off-topic, I just wanted to post something! This is from a senior session I did about a week ago for a friend of a friend. It was slightly overcast all day, but about the time we got ready to shoot, it really clouded up. All my images ended up being a little bit soft, unfortunately, but hopefully I got some shots that they'll like. This was shot in RAW, 50mm lens, 400 ISO, Av mode, f/3.2, ss 1/250. I kept changing between my 50mm and my kit lens during the session, I couldn't decide which one was doing the better job. I really, really want the 85mm 1.8 lens! CC Please! Thanks for looking!

I really like how you got behind him. The back of the bench looks cool in the shot! I might clone out the sign in the background. Also, converting these to b&w might help since it was a cloudy day. It might give it a bit more contrast.

Nice pose! I like the paths in the background especially; he looks so at ease. nice job!

Adorable. Could he be any cuter? Those curls and his smile are to die for. I'm sure Mom loved this.

I love this pic. great compostion.
I tend to convert my grey overcast shoots to B&W and I apply a screen filter as well. Just adjust the opacity to your likeing, It really brightens the photo up and removes the overcast appearence.

You know...that's some really nice lighting you got, no shadows. You may want to boost it slightly, but you captured a really natural look-he looks comfortable and not stiff at all.

I accidentally clicked it and opened it larger and I really like it. I like shooting when it's overcast and getting that soft look! He's a cutie too. He's got to be pleased with these shots!
